Ive been setting up some vlans on my 3550 switches
The ports f0/1 - 3 function when in access mode but when i change them to trunk i get nothing
ive done the normal
conf t
int f0/1
switchport trunk encapsulation dot1q
switchport mode trunk
(same as above for port 3)
but when i do Show interface trunk its blank
ive made sure the ports are not admin shut down
but when i do show ip int brief they say down down
this is my first time with layer 3 switches is there somthing i have to enable to allow them to trunk?
