Trust 500VA UPS connection question

Help needed connecting PC to UPS

Hi Guys,
I have been after a UPS for ages now and decided after the thunder and lightning the other night to purchase one.

I got myself a Trust 500VA which is very nice indeed.

One question though, on the back there are 3 connectors where 2 are for 'backup power' and one is for 'Surge only' and is coloured red.

I am aware that my PC connects through the 'backup power' connector but which one does my monitor go into.
Printed under the surge only socket is Printer/Fax/Scanner.

Any help guys.

Having RTFM, black = back-up power + surge while red = just surge.

You don't need back-up power for the monitor really, but you might as well use it so you can keep working or at least shut things down when the power goes.
