Hi All,
I've received a Corsair RM850 as an RMA for my TX-850W, which is very nice of them. Problem is I'm having trouble deciding whether to use it as my confidence has been shaken. I've managed to convince myself this failure was the cause for my old gfx card to fail at same time, which is another reason I'm wary of it (not sure if it was or not).
I already replaced it when it failed before I RMA'd it as I needed something next day. I'm running SuperFlower Leadex's in my HTPC/Media Server & Gaming rig which have been fault free and I'm super impressed with them.
I'm moving house in 6 weeks (hopefully) and changing my rigs about a little. So my HTPC internals (including one of the Leadex's) go to a new dedicated server build and my HTPC will become a gaming box for the lounge. I shouldn't need a 850W psu, would be fine with 650/750W as only a single GPU.
Would the hassle of selling the RM850 and purchasing another SuperFlower Leadex be worth the pain and hassle? or should I just use the RM850 and try and rebuild a relationship with Corsair PSU's?
Cheers.
Simon
