Thought this might be a free router give away for testing, but its only a link to show off their firmware settings?
Not sure if Test is the right wording, as without the actual router, changing router settings on a Test page proves nothing of the actual devices performance etc.

you get to test the router out. see what settings are there.

I wish I had this available to me before I got my N66U.

I think you have missed the point of it.

I've got the DSL-N55U.

Fantastic router now that they've sorted out the firmware problems, newest release came out in April.

Hi there

I really like it and have to say their menu system is superb and very clear, shall certainly be my next router without a doubt! :)

This is a great little feature and I can vouch for the higher end routers being fantastic, by far the most reliable I've used.

Just to note:
*going through the following tabs enables you to speed up the router too. (hey, we're Overclockers right :D)

- Advanced Settings>Wireless>Professional>Tx Power adjustment
This won't "speed up" the router but it will give more coverage if you increase the Tx power. Not sure what the amps in the routers are rated to but increasing the power output will increase the heat output and power consumption significantly.

The Tx power thing on my RT-N66U does absolutely nothing on Asus or Tomato firmware.

Complete let down in that regard unfortunately :(

Cracking router, shame about the range, need another 25%, which if I could up the mW from 80 to 120 would give. Hey ho.

I'll be buying the RT-AC66U once i get a bit of cash, for now my RT-N56U is running superbly enough. Definitely recommend this range, if anything for the constant updates from Asus. So often you buy into kit and it never gets updated so this is a refreshing change.

I've had the RT-N66 router for a while now, the user interface is amazing, very clear, easy to get around etc. And the router itself is awesome, excellent wifi performance.

Try 200mW, Asus suggest this can sometimes help increase range.

Are these latest one's finally any good for online gaming? I have a very respectable fibre speed (60/20). Or are powerline adaptors still preferred?

I need to get one or the other due to the stupidly complicated and thick walls in my house.

Don't have one myself, so not the best person to comment, but OcUK operates a 14 day satisifaction guarantee, so buy one. If it fails to impress you, send it back. :)

Problem with this is, getting it back to OcUK can not be cheap...

Shame OcUK don't have their own delivery services in Mainland, that'd be nice (and expensive -_-)
