Ive been trying to sort out a repeatinging crashing issue, ny netbook crashes more often than a blindfolded pensioner! Very frustrating any ideas? Tried hard drive test from usb but had no luck, no BSOD just total freeze up!
Trying to post the event viewer data but do not know how to export and post it without it turning to giberish! Im told i may be a driver conflict although i did format the grive when i bougth it (ex-display model) Could it be a possible lurking virus?
I may need assistance in providing appropriate info
I have entered the admin. tools and i can post either application or system or both. How wold you like it posted do you copy and paste to notepad or is there a way to post it in a more readable format?

posted hti sin your other thread:
So it is BSOD's then? Just the stop error code will be enough to go on tbh, no need for the whole log. If you want to post something from the log, just copy and paste the error ones (the details bit)

and because of more info, if you formatted it, it is VERY likely that youve missed a driver for something. Anything in device manager that is showing as not working? Got drivers for everything in it from the respective manufacturers?

hi thanks for all your responses so far chaps.
This is where we are i could not copy and paste the details so i did a sceen shot.
I have included a picture of the unusual crash screen, bare in mind that the screen USUALLY REMAINS UNAFFECTED and the mouse freezes and will not respond to ctrl, alt, del. From time to time one in 20 lets say i'm treated to this rather beautiful but frustrating mosaic of noise.

FYI - the netbook crashed before i formatted it (the reason i did it) and remains crashing to this point
- no BSOD just as described above

Finally as you can tell no-one has stuck around to help me to the end which i understand as people have more important things to do than helping me limp though begginer computer diagnostics. Any repeated help will be warmly appreciated cheers

get a program called hardware monitor, or everest, or speedfan, and post us a screenshot of the temps its shows, then run prime small ffts for 10 minutes and post another screenshot.

Can you screenshot the device manager screen?

What model is the netbook, and which graphics driver version are you using?

I will run the software toight when I get back from the joys of employment but until then here is some info.

acer aspire one, intel atom, XP home edition
I beleive it uses a multiprocessor CPU/GPU
This has led me to confusion as to where the driver for graphics is, does it share with cpu

What part of the Device manager would you like me to post?

It has been suggested on my other thread that it could be the graphics card because of the scrambled crashes (sometimes the mouse still works)

I have tried running prime95 for a few hours and a RAM tesr for 24 hours, sill no luck though

I dont know if anyone can recommend a HD testing program. Ive had HDTach identify an issue before, just before the mobo smart did.

Furmark, along with GPUz to check the temperature, can test your gpu chip.

i would like the device manager part of device manager :) Same place as in that screenshot, but down on the left, there is a bit called device manager, click that and upload a screeny of it :)

Although as stated in your other thread, the MASSIVE amount of static in that screenshot is making it look very likely a GPU problem, it could easily be overheating on the GPU causing it to fsk up though. If its a CPU/GPU then I have no idea about drivers, I dont have a netbook myself so I dont know much about them, I just use my N900 for my portable net needs, Maemo (linux) on a phone ***.

yea thats it. all looks good to me though :(

So, its definitely a hardware issue, either over heating and causing it to fsk, or the hardware is faulty. Id RMA it to be honest, since unless you blocking all the vents on it, it shouldnt be over heating.
