ok im wanting to overclock my cpu i know mostly everything i need to know i think...
i know how rasigin fsb for example dosent just affect cpu it affects everything.. and i have to set manual parameters so they dont get affected by the fsb raise
ok.. here wot im running..
2 duo e8400 (3.0) stock - E0 stepping the best e8400's for overclocking..
my motherboard is
asus P5QL-PRO rated 1333 fsb and says on box 1600fsb overclock
exactly wot my e8400 needs

pc2-6400 (400mhz) 2X2 gig
^^ nbeed settings for this is where i cant get stable i think
gpu is HD5830 but not relivent
powersupply is ocz stealth xtreme 2 (500watt)
this is all on stock cooling for the cpu
no extra cooling for mobo just the stock sinks for the board but air flow is good ( atleast not bad at any rate)
only looking for a small overclock 3.2-3.6
because of stock cooling...
so far i can run prime95 on blend for any amount of time max temps on cores is 62C and 63C idles temps get stuck at 35C and 40C (typical of e8-- series chips) atleast the upper values work
every at the moment is set to auto
