hi guys i have a question,

am planning to give linux a go,
i'm using sata drives, is it possible to install an ide drive and use my current system to run linux, i beleive this to be called a dual boot system ?.
what i dont want to do is lose my raid array and have to reinstall. i have got version 10.2 of the opensuse package
is this possible, sorry for the noob question lol

Yes, I have my Win XP install running from my sata drive, and Linux (currently Kubuntu 7.04) running off an old IDE drive.

I just switch the sata drive to be the first one that the Bios boots from whenever I need to use Windows, otherwise the Bios is set to boot the IDE drive and loads Linux.

thanks for confirming that :D
