Does anyone know where they have them on display where you can have a go? It's for the wife so she needs to be happy with the size etc

What would concern me about the Switch Lite is the integrated joysticks, already had to buy new joycons because the joystick went with mine.

My son and myself both have the standard switch consoles.

My son has had his switch for around 2 years, and I had to buy him another set of joycons around 6 months ago because the originals started to 'drift'.

I have had mine since launch and I swapped out mine last week because of the drifting issue.

I have just purchased a lite for my daughter, and I would be lying if I said that the joycon issue doesnt worry me, because it did. However I rolled the dice under the belief (perhaps false) that Nintendo would have solved this problem on the lite.

Check your local city center I live in Nottingham and a couple of weeks ago they had a giant Nintendo display going off and you could spend time playing the switch for free that or try Curry's/ game

You can repair them for about £4 if you're out of warranty.

The real problem for me is where I live..........India most of the year.

Nintendo's only presence over here is with imported units, and it would just be a massive pain in the backside to worry about sending them away etc.

You buy the piece from eBay and do it yourself.

Nintendo are repairing drifting joy cons for free even outside of the warranty period, but as others have said, you can also but the kit for about £4 and do it yourself
