How do I get Ubuntu/Enna/Boxee to access my Windows PC shared HDD?

Ok I have managed to click into my PC via Ubuntu, and access my shared media drive and play an mp3. But I cannot view these as albums with artwork on any of the Ubuntu software, just able to click on my downstairs PC icon, open folder and choose "open with" though only a few things play a few items MP£ and jpeg but not with Boxee or Enna?

I cannot seem to play any movies at all with any of the installed media players including Boxee or Enna?

I also cannot seem to get Enna or Boxee to show or access the contents of these drives as available media?

What do I need to load download run to have Ubuntu, Boxee, and Enna access these folders (or I guess in the case of Boxee and Ena, have the shared drive show up and be added/always accessed as my media) as I had my Windows PC and WMC do?

With W7 it was easy, either through network or such to have WMP on this machine locate my media drive on the downstairs PC and add it as a media location for access, allowing me to see all my music and movies in Windows Media center and player including cover art in the upstairs machine.
