Trying to bluetooth sound from projector

Hi

I've just bought a cheap (non bluetooth) projector to create Halloween illusions for the kids using a transparent film over the windows.

Its all up and running playing .mp4 files from a usb stick but I'd like to transmit the sound outside to a bluetooth (BT) speaker, which I was told could be done via a BT transmitter/receiver.

So, I bought one of these thinking it's just a case of plugging it into the audio out (headphone) jack but it doesn't work. I checked that the BT transmitter/receiver works by plugging it into the aux on my Amazon echo and it works fine.

Is there a device that can send the sound you receive out of the headphone jack and bluetooth it? The connections on the back of the projector are usb1, usb2, audio out (headphones), AV, hdmi1, hdmi2, and VGA.

Thanks for any help

Hi,

Yes, that's correct I got a signal from the Amazon Echo, the BT receiver is an MPOW BT 5.0 with aptX low latency.

The projector manual describes the socket as an Audio Output.

I think it might be a case of using screen mirroring from my phone or using a bluetooth laptop which i'm going to test later. I'll just have to join the individual video clips together as a single file though with these two methods. The good thing about just using a Usb stick is that you can just use individual clips and the projector plays through them but obviously I've have a sound problem.

Thanks for you help.

Ps hopefully the images will come through

Jeez.... so finally got the BT TX/RX to connect to my Enacfire earbuds. They didn't work last night!!!. It still doesn't like my Anker BT speaker for some reason. Picking up an Ultimate Ears MEGABOOM 3 today so fingers crossed it will connect to that.

Hi
I bought the following:
Wimius k3 projector...reduced the price after day I bought it:rolleyes: now it's about £170. They do a bluetooth one but the k3 has slightly better lumens 7500 vs 7000. It performs really well.

Grey net curtains from argos for £10

A bluetooth rx/tx £20

A bluetooth speaker. My Anker wouldn't connect but the UE megaboom 3 did. This was free for me as I had John Lewis vouchers to use up.

Videos. I've been downloading videos from Atmosrx. You can find free stuff online I think but these videos are in 1080p. They have videos for xmas too so I'll probably get some of those. 25% discount going on at the moment.

I'm hoping it's going to be ok for watching films too. I bought a screen for £23. A friend has the same screen and he did a movie night for the kids in lockdown - they all loved it.

I'll get it going again tonight and take a picture of what it looks like or maybe I can try and take a snapshot of some video I took last night.

Cheers
