Hi all

Wifey's bike had a plastic chainring / crank guard with it, but mine didn't. Does anyone know where I can get one? I've tried wiggle etc. but they all seem to be replacement bashguards rather than guards that screw onto the chainring.

I need it to protect my trousers as even with clips, some of my trousers get grease on them. I went into Halfords where we bought the bikes and the display model of my bike was absent the guard also, so I couldn't claim mine was missing at delivery. I also asked in Halfords and all they had was a massive ugly black one, same with their website.

This is what I'm talking about:

Many thanks.

Something like this?

It's the sort of thing a lot of people tend to rip off their bike but I can see it's use for commuting. If you go to your local bike shop (not Halfords), they might just take one off a bike and give you the thing.

Yeah, that's the Halfords one that I don't want (would prefer clear plastic). Thanks anyway. That's a good idea about Halfords but I'd have to catch an extremely slack individual in an extremely good mood I feel. Still, worth a shot!
