Hi,

I'm looking to get freeview TV on my PC but I have a major problem which might ultimately stop me but hopefully there is technology that can help me. Problem is that I don't have access to a TV Aerial as my PC is in my room and we get our TV via NTL STB and thats in the downstairs room.

I have noticed some of the cards come with an external Aerial but in the past I have used these types of tv Aerial on TV's and the quality was dreadful.

So my question is whether it is possible for me to get freeview TV with my circumstances as I have noticed nearly all the TV cards want you to plug in your TV Aerial which sadly is not possible in my case. I don't want to shell out on a card and find that I can't pick up half of the channels because I have no way of picking them up.

Cheers

You can buy a seperate aerial to fit on the end so any tv card would work. The issue you need to research though is how strong the freeview signal is in your area. Any internal aerial is not going to pick up a stable signal unless the freeview is strong in your area.

Hi,

Cheers for the speedy reply. I have checked on the freeview website and it says I can get most of the channels but not the full line up but the channels I can get are the ones I want to get :) Is there an online checker thingy I can use to get a more detailed report? My postcode is SO40 2WB.
