Hey Guys,

I am trying to find an old recipe of some really nice and really simple biscuit/cookie things.

I remember making them years ago, and they were in a Mary Berry cookbook we had, a very thick white hardback cookbook which i cannot find anymore :(

They were very simple things, and the ingredients only consisted of 3 or 4 things like sugar, flour, butter and i think eggs?

If anybody knows it or can find it the help would very much be appreciated :)

Thanks

Nevermind guys I found it! :D Here it is anyway:

FORK BISCUITS! :p

Ingredients
250g (8oz) butter, at room temp, plus extra for greasing
15g (4oz) golden caster sugar
300g (10oz) self-raising flour

Method
1. Preheat oven to: 180c/350f/gas mark 4.
2. Grease a couple of baking sheets.
3. Put butter in large bowl and beat until soft.
4. Gradually beat in sugar, then stir in flour.
5. Use hands to bring together into a soft, but non sticky dough.
6. Roll teaspoon-size pieces of dough into balls and place on prepared baking sheets.
8. Dip a fork into cold water and use it to flatten each ball and imprint the pattern.
Bake in batches then cool on wire racks.

Good thing is you can add a lot of different things to these to give them a twist!
