So after 5 years of use, my current hosts have deemed my website in breach of the T&Cs due to it mainly acting as a file server.
My deal is: £6 a month, 500GB storage, unlimited bandwidth.
My usage: 22GB storage, 150GB a month bandwidth.
They say this is no good with a shared server, and I would need to move to a dedicated server to keep it, and prices start at £40 a month!
So now I am looking for something that meets my needs and pricing.
£10 a month is the limit as this is a personal website, I can get my storage under 20GB (a large chunk is currently just junk files I've not deleted).
My preferred choice is a cloud server here:
http://www.cloudnext.com/vds/
20GB storage, 512MB RAM, £10 a month, unmetered bandwidth.
Next best is:
http://www.rapidswitch.com/virtualservers.aspx
15GB storage, 384MB RAM, £8 a month, 150GB bandwidth.
My site is almost exclusively acting as a file server, with roughly 6GB traffic per day. Would the above specs be sufficient?
Any other companies I might have missed?
Any help is greatly appreciated!![Smile :) :)](/styles/default/xenforo/vbSmilies/Normal/smile.gif)
