Trying to get hold of transistor/equivalent.

Transistor (Motorolla?) T1829-1 or equivalent needed.

Google searches have not been terribly successful

Do not seem to be able to find any reference to it at RS or Farnell.

If anybody can point me in the right direction I would be most gratefull.

older transistor go out of production but there is usually a compatable one to be found else where

MJ11033G (ONS). A proved replacement for unavailable T1829-1

So I suppose MJ11033G would be what you need now.
