Just wondered if anyone here can help. A friend has emailed me to say that his mac (not sure what model, its a desktop not laptop) wont boot. He's tried the recovery disk but this keeps failing. I asked for some screenshots but got the reply:
Couldn't get screen shots as requested as DVD got stuck and couldn't do anything at all! Eventually got DVD out but loathe to stick it in again. Anyway what I remember from the repair screen was incorrect block count...file store updates 1 instead of 0 file preferences.plist 14 instead of 0. No idea if that is of any use but it seems very sick.
Aside from wiping the hd and starting again does this sound like a repairable problem?
Thanks for any help.
