[Not for me but someones new Laptop I'm sorting out - So I'd like to keep it legit]
I'm trying to install Photoshop Elements 2.0 (yes, I know it's old) but the installer rejects the license key.
The CD is a "FOR BUNDLES ONLY, Not to be sold seperately" version with a fully legit license key (was working with this key on old machine). But for some reason the key is rejected.
Any ideas?
My guess is that the 2.0 license server has been removed as its soo old. (I know that the laptop in question can contact adobe as acrobat reader was able to update.)

I have Elelments 1 and 4 and neither of them use server activation - just a serial number. I have the retail versions though. Strange that v2 would use activation unless it's something specific to bundled versions.

I think it's only CS2 that uses activation.

Oh. Strange that the particlular serial # has worked fine before tho. I'll give it a go with 1's as 7's, and 2's as z's, and 5's as s's etc.

I got Elements 2.0 bundled with a Digi-Cam , maybe the "bundled version" can only be installed with the camera applications ???

Well, it worked with a different CD key - so it was probably just a writing error as it was a freebie with digital camera and the owner (who's laptop I'm setting up) had written the key down on the disc.

TY for the suggestions,
Ed
