im trying to get into networking more so as a pet project im attempting to set up a proxy on my system and then run MIRC or some similar telnet service through it, then ive got other things i want to try across my home network, but this one first.
so far after 3 days, ive managed to litter my desktop with freeware and killed my net connection about two dozen times but still i dont have a proxy set up, not for the lack of trying.
any help welcome:
basically i need to know what to use, and how to use it, as im getting no where fast and i will be damned if im going to be beaten by software and badly scribbled tutorials.
