So as thread title says I'm trying to buy this before the sale ends. Thing is though whenever I get to the purchase screen and it asks purchase for myself or as a gift, I click purchase for myself and it just takes me to the steam homepage and my cart is gone :(...

yeh I was just thinkging its a cookie issue, as I am trying to add 2 things just to try something else and it just forgets the first purchase if I do anything else.

Might give .........Internet Explorer a go!

edit: also I'm at work so can't really use the Steam program lol

I've been trying to purchase it today as it's only £6.80.

I keep getting errors no matter how I choose to pay, Paypal, 2 Debit Cards.

I've opened a ticket, tried paying using steam, firefox and IE.

Keep getting "an unexpected error occurred".

I have funds in all accounts and details are correct.

Yeh got it sorted, just used internet explorer and was all sweet. Strange though as I didn't change anything in google chrome, and it worked earlier but said the card was declined and once I checked my card which still has plenty of balance left and went to try again it just stopped working.

Weird but all good now :D

Sorry to hear it, mine worked now so looking forward to getting that fired up tonight :)

damn this thread, I have resisted the urge to buy BFBC2 as I have it on the ps3, but ... bah, installing now on Steam.

I am still trying to resist! I dont really have the time to play it right now...but its a good price...but...but...

It's a good game. I liked the SP, even with the dodgy AI of your team mates.

MP is a quality game & once you play an FPS with destructible environments you'll hate playing one without it.
