well i thought it was going to be straight forward, i want to put my laptop on the net, my main pc is on a netgear router, and is hooked up on my main pc wired, my laptop has a wireless card, and also i have usb wirless connecter thingy

so my main computer this one, is hooked up wired, i go on my laptop, search for networks via connect to a network, and all i get it someone elses wireless, not mine, how come it isnt finding my netgear router, or even it isnt finding my usb network one when i plug that into my main computer

had to log into my netgear setting online and change loads of stuff in there
