I can remember quite clearly a tiny amount of a car editor in a driving game I played years ago, but I'm completely stumped as to what game it was. I am pretty sure it was on the PS1 but it may have been an early-ish PS2 game.

In the car editor I remember there were various styles of front end of the car that you could choose from. i am pretty sure that you chose two, and used a percentage slider to sort of morph the front end of your car between the two designs you had chosen. I distinctly remember there being a front end design very similar to the front end of this hot wheels car (except i'm pretty sure that it was just the bonnet that had the three points and that by the time it reached the windscreen it was like a normal car):

I know this really isn't much to go on, but if anyone knows even roughly what the game is called then i would really like to know because its been bugging me for the past two hours

Was it NFS Carbon (autosculpt feature)?

No, it was kind of similar to autosculpt, but it definitely wasn't that.

If it helps i think the slider that you moved to say what percentage of the style of front end you chose was a dark blue bar slightly to the right of the top left corner of the screen

That list didn't help, but the PS2 list certainly did, so thank you very much :D

I am almost certain that the game I'm thinking of is Supercar Street Challenge. I know I definitely own it, but I'm struggling to find decent footage of the car editor. This is the best I can find so far:

(the car customisation is shown very briefly and is ~40s in)

*edit*
it sounds like the game i'm thinking of: http://uk.ign.com/articles/2001/10/24/supercar-street-challenge-2
(although they didnt seem to like it :()
