Trying to run Dirt 2 on Windows 7 - SOLVED

I recently installed Dirt 2 on a fully patched installation of Windows 7 (Home edition) the installation went OK, but when I try and launch it, I get the disk access cursor thing for about 5 seconds and then nothing...no matter how long I wait.

Other things I've tried:

Patched it to the latest version
Ran it as administrator....I get the 'Do you want to allow the following program...' dialog....then nothing.

I've had it working under XP, but that drive isn't connected to the net, so I can't use Games for Windows with it, and yes my machine exceeds the spec and all of this is with the disc in the drive.

Anyone got any thoughts or suggestions for things to try?

Are you using FRAPs or MSI Aftetburner? If you are try running it without them.

Nope, I'm not running any of them, ta for the suggestion though.

Download Games for Windows Live it needs it to run.

Thanks, I've just got it running and I'm pretty sure it had something to do with that, though I had to reboot and run setup again from the game disc (with the repair option)
