Trying to run TFX - old game...

Hi there,

Trying to run this game...its very old...what would be the best way to do it?

Obviously it doesn't run on Vista x64 but I was hoping I could run it on a virtual machine?

What operating system should I use? I can't seem to install windows 98 on virtual box...for some reason it says I need 16MB of memory when i set it to 512MB...:S

Also does anyone know where i can download the manual for this?

Can't advise on a manul. Have a look at the game specs and that iwll pretty much advise on the operating system to virtualise. The problem you're going to have is that 3D acceleration doesn't work in a virtualised environment - it just uses a generic graphics card.

Have you tried DOSBox? The site has it listed as supported

Whats the performance like in DOSBox? I've always understood that its incredibly slow and sluggish. I want to play CM97/98.

DOSBox performance for most games is very good you can limit it to specific CPU cycles (so the game doesn't run to fast) or you could leave it unlimited for CPU intensive games such as CM and it would be fine.
