I only have one account on this comp, and AFAIK it has full administrative priveliges. However it's vista - this asks "are you sure, sure you're sure? last answer?" etc to do ANYTHING

Won't let me set up as a service... BAH if i cant sort this i prob won't bother
It always fails to set up as a service, telling me i do not have administrative priveliges (its the fold client that tells me that) vista doesnt even seem to ask me if it should allow the change.. *shrug*

I never got this to work either. So I disabled UAC. Its pointless anyway. It stopped a LOT of things working. Such as XFire etc.

I'm new to vista.. i've yet to find the setting to disable it...

Is it a case of setting the client executable to "Run as administrator" rather than the rights of the actual user - right click on the .exe and it's either there or in a tab leading from that.

Nope, not that easy im afraid. It installs as a service, but vista wont let it run.
And UAC is in User Accounts.
