trying to source a 40mm dc brushless blower gan

As the topic suggests, I know we can't link to competitors, but does anyone know if you can at least buy 40mm dc brushless blowers? (availability etc)

One of my external drives which also acts as a hub for firewire and usb devices has decided to make an absolute racket. After initially thinking the fan was clipping one of the connection wires, it transpires the bearings have gone.

The current component is a YS Tech BD125010HB.

im probbaly being a bit thick but 40mm dc brushless blower ???? is that just a 12v 40mm fan ?
if so then yeah laods of em about.

No it's not a standard fan, it basically extracts heat and blows it out the side. (not very well explained or described though to be fair).

Similar to this http://news.thomasnet.com/images/large/004/4593.jpg but it's 50mm square/9mm thick (sorry not 40mm as stated in the original post).

well i had a quick look about and i cant find any on the usual online shops i use i did a search and i found a coupel of places with details on them bu ti think they more bulk buy places cause you have to rink up. soo not what you need

Yeah bit of a nightmare really, I would simply just bin the whole lot and just buy another but the fact it incorporates a 4 port usb hub + 3 port firewire makes the drive container irreplaceable. Oh well, I'll keep on looking.

as last resort could you not mod the case in ? ie cut hole in it lol and stick a fan on top or something lol
