I've bought a domain from tsohost and want to point it to my website hosted elsewhere.

I've done this through 123reg before but first time with tsohost. I just want to know where to go and how to do it. The support section is rubbish and I don't yet want to raise a ticket for something that should be simple.

Help!

Simon

In the billing area where you bought the domain, you should be able to go to the domain settings to point the nameservers wherever you need to point them.

Must admit that's the one thing letting tsohost down, their support section is definately lacking.

I assume that's sarcasm :p

I sent a ticket in at 10 last night and it was answered within 3 minutes, can't beat that for support.

It's just Kayako unfortunately - bypass it and just send an email... much faster.

Nope, there ticking system and email support is the best I've used. I myself have had replies from their support as late as 2am.

I think the OP is on about their support section/knowledgebase/FAQs section - as there are literally only a handful of questions listed there.

Ah I see. tbh I never even bother to look there anyway when I can just fire a ticket off and have my specific question answered in minutes.

As a follow on, does anyone know the name servers for ntlworld websites?

I'm still not getting it. On 123reg I could set up forwarding so that www.mydomain.com (which I owned) went to http://myName.someISP.com/somedirectory/default.htm (where my pages were)

Can some one explain (possibly with pictures:) ) how to get tsohosts to do the same.

Contact NTL and ask them what name servers you need to use. Or maybe you'll be able to find out on their site (I haven't checked). Then just log in to Tsohost and copy the name servers into the My Domains area.

This depends on what type of hosting you have. I'm on tyhe clustered hosting and can easily do thbis via the control panel.

If you send an email to [email protected] you'll get a reply within a few mins :)
