TSOHost + Google Apps MX Server tutorial

Should just be a case of ensuring you have gmail configured to use your domain (google will ask you to upload a file / create a cname to verify you own the domain), then editing your MX records in the tsohost control panel - I'm sure they'll be happy to help :)

Simple.

  • Login to Cpanel.
  • Click on "MX Entry"
  • Choose your domain from the list (If you have more than one)
  • Then add/edit the MX server (Priority should be "0" and Destination is "aspmx.l.google.com" in my case.

I've tried following this guide, but it there are too many variables when doing the configuration on the actual host which aren't actually covered in that guide.

EDIT:

Like for instance, in that guide it mentions that some hosts need a trailing period (.) on the end of all MX servers...I don't know if that's the case for TSOHost or not.

Beansprout - thanks, sometimes I completely forget that there are *SOME* companies that are nice to deal with...I'll give them a bell in the morning.
