I’m looking into buying a TT Armor case and I wanted to know if my desired power supply (ENERMAX 1000) will fit in it and what mods I would have to do if it wouldn’t as I do believe there may be an 80mm up the top that might get in the way… Does anyone have this setup that could provide some useful tips for install :D

Thanks

Got an armor but not that beast of a psu!!! Top exhaust fan would definately get in the way of it but it would be easy enough to remove and doesnt do much anyway to be honest due to top grill blocking it.

The psu retaining bracket would be unusable too but the ledge that psu sits on extends out further than standard psu.

hope that helps a bit.

What do you mean by the PSU retaining braket? Does this braket come out then/going to cause interferance in anyway.

I take it this braket is not the only thing that holdg the PSU in place otherwise i wont be able to secure my one in full stop! :(

Yes bracket is taken off before psu goes in but doesnt really have to go back in. Its just a brace for extra support. Best to wait for some other replies though I think.

Anyone else got some advice on this setup.. Will the single support rails that are left in the case be enought to support this beast of a PSU

Hmmm im not sure if i have the bracket on even with my Hiper lol :/ but yea it would get in way off the top fan but its dead easy to remove lol

I have been earing a lot about this TT Armor case, but I have not seen one does anyone have links to pics and specs, and what do you guys think of this case.

can anyone who owns the TT armor case tell me weather the smaller fan that is at the top of the case and the smaller one of the two fans that are at the back are 80mm or 90mm and if they are 90 will i be able to fit a 92mm fan in its place..

Im getting conflicting views from diffrent sources

iv modded my tt armour. at the top iv fitted a 12cm fan (remove the oval shape plastic thing)
and down the front i have 3x 120cm fan intakes and a 25cm fan on the side and a 12cm fan on the side

I had to take all the front off my TT armor to get my PCpowerandcooling 1KW PSU in there, as i couldnt remove the support brace at all, but once in there it fitted like a dream, the case is nice and big also so it makes cable management far easier.

ive just installed a enermax 850w psu its a big bugger into a thermaltake Armour case had a few probs but got there in the end,i didnt think it would fit, make sure you lay you case down and not standing up as i found this a lot easier also i had to remove the usb and firewire from the top of the case which was easy.
must go and install evga nforce 680i sli motherboard now then cpu then my big titan amanda will let you know how it goes :)

well ive done it,what a game that was,you need 3 pairs of hands,
1pair to hold the motherboard
1 pair to hold the fan
1pair to tighten the screws of the backplate to the Fan :(
