Afternoon all,

My new pointy hat has arrived (Kask K31) and it fits brilliantly so now I'm going to order a visor; the options are clear, smoked, mirrored and orange.

I can only get one though.

My heart says mirror and my brain says clear and possibly orange.

What say the collective?

Last year during Ironman UK I wore my Bell Javelin. Weather forecast looked ok, but once I got up to Rivington and the climb to Belmont it was really foggy, my whole visor steamed up due to the fog and sweat. Had to descend quite a fast road with my helmet tipped back as far as it would go to try and get air in to clear it.

Pretty unpleasant.

I would go for mirrored. (mostly because it looks the best :p)

I doubt you'll be able to fit sunglasses on under it, so it'll be a choice between having things too dark on overcast days or too bright on sunny days.
I dont think I'v every really had an overcast day so dark that I couldnt see anything with sunglasses on.

Kask visors are held in place with magnets i think? So it's pretty easy to rip off if you need to.

Only the Bambino uses magnets (and the cost of the visors for that I wouldn't be ripping it off to leave by the side of the road), the K31 visor screws on.

At the moment I'm not really using sunglasses when I ride anyway so I think I'll cope with out a darker visor for the few times I'll actually wear it this year.
