Always dreamed of having a motorcycle game which would recreate the TT Circuit so was following this game closely.

Picked it up on release day for PC and have to say the achievement is amazing. Yes the handling can be dodgy but the recreation of the track in its full 37mile glory, the sense of speed etc, im loving it.

Turn the assists off, goto helmet cam and i defy anyone with any kind of joy of biking not to be immersed. Highly recommend it and a few updates and patches for the handling will easily make this the best biking game ive played. Enough so that its put FC5 to the side atm

The sense of speed in the game is unreal, sure if you stop at the side of the road you will see the textures aint to hot (prob given its console versions) but the game isnt designed to be at slow speeds. The biggest criticism of the game from reviews seems to be that the bike handling has a tendancy to lose the rear wheel a little too easy. Im not so sure that the problem isnt more due to people not adjusting their driving style for this game compared to something like the MotoGP games. Think more Dirt Rally difficulty than Need for Speed.

Also they have recreated pretty much every detail of the TT course including all the off camber corners, the bumps etc which may not show on the racing line and braking assists but will still cause problems if you dont learn where the right places are to grab a handful of brake etc.

Think Ballough bridge as an example, you need to slow and approach the jump with the bike upright, go in at too higha speed or angle and your off. Likewise some of the highspeed sections will have the front wheel lift over bumps etc, if you dont shift weight to the front of the bike or dab the rear brake you will hit a wobble and struggle to stay onboard.

I happily paid full price for it, for me that cdkeys price of £18 is well worth it. Besides the TT course theres a handful of fictional courses all of which i havent looked at once :)

pestt would be interesting to know how he found the accuracy of the track, for others dont think theres VR support but they are planning to add more content in patches (lightweight classes, side cars etc) so who knows

Is there multiplayer mode?

There is multiplayer yup as well as career mode etc, have to be honest tho all ive been doing is trying to learn the TT course.

The time trial mode you can split the course into sections and just repeat till you have them memorised. So far the game will always be dry on track, would be nice to see variable weather so we can get some fog on the mountain section or damp.

These are the settings im using on my laps, majority of assists on low/off, split braking, using xbox controller. Starting to think anti-wheelie could be a bit higher as coming out of low speed corners or at the start is all too easy to pull a wheelie and end up coming off. Guess thats more my fault for not controlling acelleration a bit more but id say half my crashes atm are from wheelies :p
