Hey there, bit of a sad state of affairs I'm in atm. Bought a new machine Christmas time, it was a C2D machine on a GA-965P-DS3 v1.0 - appears my TT120 may've permanantly damaged the DS3, so I'm getting a P5B Deluxe. Problem is, I've got to take the TT120 and attach it to the new motherboard, but it only came with one sticky pad for the backplate...

Who knows where I can get a sticky pad for a TT120 backplate? :)

Try and contact Thermaltake and see if they will give you one.

As a point of interest, why does it need a sticky pad?

I wouldnt use the sticky pad. Use masking tape or gaffa tape to protect against shorting.

Isn't it bad to not have any kind of cushion between the backplate and motherboard? I use electrical tape already as an insulator, the sticky pad acts as a cushion to protect the pins I thought?

You can buy the same sticky pad from anywere like homebase etc. I had to get some for my Tuniq when lapping it ;)

Don't think there's a Homebase in Stafford :/ We have a Wilkinson's though :D !

Tuniq is actually a devision of Sunbeamtech according to their website, and I have emailed them so thanks for the advice :).
