Woah that's a bit crazy, it defeats the object of buying a heatsink with a large surface area if you go cuttings bits off it! Show us what they've done, maybe you need to go back and have a word with them..! :p

Exactly what bits have they cut off? I cant think of anything that can be cut off.

a bit off topic, anybody have a way of removing the TT120 mobo mount plate??

here are some pictures of it, as youll notice its mounted differently to everyone elses.

i told my mum who used her cc to buy all the stuff that we need to rma the motherboard and the ram, she said no, we will send it back to the computer shop

so no doubt he will muck it up even more and most likely offer me parts from his shop.

mine is fitted the same on a abit aw9d max... does it matter? the airflow is going through the psu...

Depends entirely what way round the socket is installed on the motherboard itself, you sure he wasn't just taking the **** over its size?

To be honest, the people in this shop are idiots.
If they give you any trouble in anyway get your mum to get in touch with your local Citizens Advice Beuro. A call from them with sort thing out. (sounds drastic, but its not) dont let them get one over you.

Why do you need to RMA your mobo & ram? has the shop messed them up?

the computer ran fine when i got it off them, for 2 days, i overclocked it, the temps were stable, then it would start hanging.

so i reset the cmos, didnt oc it, ran it, hangs, only thing to recover it was to reset the cmos, by taking the gfx card out and putting it back in after removing the battery.

shorting the jumper pins or doing the battery without removing gfx card wouldnt reset the cmos.

now nothing will reset the cmos at all.

wierd problem tbh, i wonder if the shops done it on purpose so i have to keep taking it back to him ?

I notice some of you guys have placed the TT cooler 90 degrees to mine. My TT fan is pointing in the same direction as my rear 120mm fan
