I have a ridgid mountain bike that I set up tubeless. I have had one puncture since going tubeless, which sealed itself without me even knowing about it until later. It looks like only a couple of mm hole max.
However, now has come the time to refresh the sealant, so I'd like to remove the tyre and clean it out properly before adding new sealant (a different brand).
My prefered method to avoid mess is to first seat the tyre on the bead with an airshock, then let out the air and then apply the sealant through the valve before pumping up to pressure. However, if I do that then will the new hole prevent me from being able to first seat the tyre?
Should I patch the tyre from the inside before reinstalling it? Is that generally what people do? If so what patch kits do people recommend?
