Any known issues with previous bios. Just got this board and installed the previous bios before this was available.

I got the board last month, and the bios was VERY old... I think from 2023!

Currently using TUF GAMING X670E-PLUS BIOS 3024 : 2024/08/07 same as you and don't see the need to update to the latest.

Seems to be just a security fix and moving the TDP to a different area

Yeah that was my experience as well, surprised it was sitting there for as long as it did but as a board it's great with the I/o

There has been a lot of talk the past few days over the AMD AGESA PI 1.2.0.2 update that has begun rolling out to AMD AM5 motherboards with BIOS updates. The AGESA 1.2.0.2 is said to improve inter-core latency for Ryzen 9000 "Zen 5" processors when cores from different CCDs are cross-communicating. Some -- at least under Windows -- have reported performance improvements and thus several Phoronix readers have requested I run some of my tests with AGESA 1.2.0.2. Here are said comparison benchmarks using an AMD Ryzen 9 9950X on Ubuntu Linux.

"1. Include Turbo Game Mode: Enhance performance in certain games.
2. Update AGESA Version to Combo AM5 PI 1.2.0.2a: Enhance compatibility and performance.

Im on this at the moment but that gaming mode when enabled disables half your cores on my 7950X3D
I presumed this would only do this when gaming but when I monitored this through HWinfo on the desktop only half showed up.

Turned it off in bios.

In BIOS, section Tool, option ASUS User Profiles, then Load/Save from/to USB Drive does it allow you to save the settings as a txt file?
yes CTRL + F2 will save settings out as a .txt file, F2 alone will save a restorable .CMO file

In BIOS, pressing F12 save a screenshot to USB drive?
Yes saves to the root of the drive you point it to.

You may as well hang on a couple of days as ASUS are just finalizing 1.2.0.2b, its finished for X870 and X670, just B650 to come.

It improves ram latency for Ryzen 9000 and has a kind of latency killer gaming feature in the bios too, its also deactivates the loop buffer in Ryzen 7000 series CPU's
