Hi,
I haven't done a new build for 5 yrs and things have moved on. I am looking at an ASUS TUF X570 board and Ryzen 7 3700X CPU, have spent 2 days looking at memory and still struggling.
I need a min of 32GB RAM for heavy duty Astro-photography processing and may add another 32GB at some point - so I'm thinking 2x16GB for now so I can add the same again if needed. I also do some heavy gaming. I have no intention of overclocking.
My short list includes:
Cheers
PS - It doesn't really matter but I would rather not have lights on my RAM

My short list includes:
- Corsair Vengeance LPX Black 32GB 3200 MHz AMD Ryzen Tuned DDR4
- Crucial Ballistix 32GB Kit (2 x 16GB) DDR4-3600
- Corsair VENGEANCE® LPX 32GB (2 x 16GB) DDR4 DRAM 3600MHz C18
- I want the fastest RAM for price and am aiming for 3600 but would 3200 be much different?
- The Ballistik 3600 i currently top of my list - but only because it is CAS16 where other 3600 in my price range seem to be Cas 18+
- Would CAS 16 3200 be better than CAS 18 3600 (or is it more complicated than that?)?
- What would you advise?
Cheers
