Hi guys,

Tumble dryer has decided to stop spinning, I figured it was the belt.. I was correct, it had slipped off the small white wheel (pulley jockey?) I FINALLY managed to slip the belt back onto the wheel but it appears the wheel will not hold the belt on as the retaining nut which holds the wheel onto it's fixing pole had snapped off, I have realised that all I need is a new retaining nut but I am not completely technical and after so many Google searches; I'm not getting far!

I apologise for the terminology used to describe the part I'm looking for..

As per the picture; all I need is the little black ring thing (retaining nut?) to hold the wheel onto it's pole but I have no idea what to search for on eBay as I don't know it's proper name?

Any ideas what it's called and if it can be purchased separately without having to buy a whole new wheel?

Thanks!!

The little black thing is a circlip, 'Standard E Clip' type.

Should be readily available at a engineer's merchant, nut & bolt stockist.

Thanks guys, that's really helpful.

Found them on eBay for a quid, bargain. My only problem now is that I don't know what size diameter to purchase!!

Just take said bracket to a local engineer's merchant in your area, a lot easier.

There nothing special about the E clip, it's just bog standard E clip, cost about 20p, maybe 40p.
