Given what I have so far as shown below is there much to be gained for a 24/7 set up without water cooling ?
Worth noting that the cooler is a TRUE that got my Q6600 to 4GHz and my i7 920 to 4.2GHz and one reason to buy the Asus board was not having to get a new cooler so that worked out ok. I also tried this chip with a water block which settled at 4.8GHz at 1.4v in BIOS and even 1.5v + would not stabilise it @ 4.9GHz .. Ram is 4x4GB sticks .. (WC setup was jerry rigged without rads with water in a large bucket for testing as I only have a CPU block and an aquarium pump at the moment
