Hi Guys

New to this, so first of all, what a fantastic site for info on all comp oc issues. :D

I've been following a lot of the information for overclocking my new system that I've built, my first ever for something of this spec and it's been fun doing it.
My problem at the moment is I can't seem to get control of my Tuniq 120 via the adjusting knob supplied and would appreciate any help you can offer as it is staying at max and is fairly noisy. Are their any particular fan setting I need to set in the Bios? The Tuniq is plugged into the CPU fan socket on the board for now.

I have lots of cooling with this case and really just want to turn down the Tuniq to reduce the noise levels. Also, does it matter which way the fan on the Tuniq is facing inside the cooler? It's currently pointing to the top of the case. Core temps at 3.2Ghz are 33, 33,27, 27 at idle.

My system specs are;
Antec 900
OCZ 700W Active PFC GameXstream
P5K-E Wifi
Q6600 (clocked to 3.2Ghz for now)
2Gb (for now) Corsair DDR2 XMS-6400C4 (2x1gb)
Leadtek GeForce 8800 GTB OC 512Mb
Tuniq 120.

Thanks in advance.

Have you plugged in the controller that supposed to go in a slot at the rear of the system?

That controls the speed of the fan.

Yep I have the black cable from the fan connected to the cable from the controller unit at the back.

ps. Just checked the cable and the small black wire came detached from the plug coming from the back plate, so seems like a poor solder joint. Looks like it may have been stretched too much, as the black wire is shorter than the red one and just sitting in the the sleeve shrink

Just need to find my damn soldering iron now.:rolleyes:

Thanks anyway
