My Tuniq 120 arrived today and must say, I'm pretty impressed. I tried it on my Opteron 170 for an hour before and with the fan at it's slowest speed it was barely audible and keeping the processor at 30c, that was on stock volts.

The only problem I found was when mounting it, you have to leave the springs out as you can't compress them enough and the bolts are too short. Other than that though, it was a doddle.

Got mine fitted today, taking out a Hyper 6. It was quite flat but not good enough so I lapped it. Temps dropped with duel cores using 2x SP2004 from 40C to 34C. It is so easy to fit, just two screws from above. Very solid and nearly silent next to the two 80mm fans I had before.

Yeah, I thought the lapping on it was alright at first but then afterwards realised that it was crap, so I've ordered some grit paper.

But those temps are impressive. Are you using the little springs that come with it?

Nah, it was better to use the standard bracket screws,no springs. You should lap it, takes a bit of time with a sheet of glass. But worth it.

I know, the grooves in the copper are pretty deep!

I ordered some 240 through 1200 sanding blocks, should be here Tuesday or Wednesday.
