Tuniq Tower 120 in a LL v1000+ ¿

if you ask that to i-am-great, its because the v1000 is the normal width of any standard pc case and obviously if the cooler wouldn't fit in that then it would only be available to a tiny amount of users :p

Actually the v1000 is wider than most cases by a few MM.

All normal ATX cases have to be wide enough for the CD drive, so that usually means most coolers fit, you only ever get issues with really old (pre 2000) cases with motherboard trays.

On those cases, isn’t the bottom edge of the mobo up against the case bulkhead? So if a cooler is big enough to extend past the edge of the mobo, it’ll foul that bulkhead, no?

Hi all,

Okay The tower just fits in the V1000+/ii. What I want to know is in which direction shall I face the fan, Should I have it blowing towards the back or the front? (keeping in mind that the v1000s rear fan blows air in & not out)

in that case keep the tower with the 'flow', so if the rear fan intakes air into the case, then have the tower suck air from this fan and blow it toward the front :) to be totally honest difference will be negligible either way. Post piccies if possible :) i love perv-ing on other peoples computers lol :p

Thanx for your help. will try n post pics tonight, at the moment I only have a Nokia N73 to take pics with, so pics may not be that good.

My advice is to reverse the rear fan so it does blow out of the case, then put the cooler fan so it blows over the cooler. This is how I got the best temps with mine.

I think the rear fans in this cases suck air in for more efficient use with the shroud they provide and conventional coolers that blow 'down' onto the mobo. You're not using a stock cooler that blows down onto the heatsink/cpu so it's worth swapping the fan around.

If you read my post, you’ll understand there’s a chance it won’t fit - all depends how close your mobo’s socket is to the edge of the board. If the TT overhangs your board sufficiently, the case bulkhead will get in the way.

Thanx for the info, I have already installed the tower in my v1000 on the Asus P5W DH Deluxe & like I said it just about fits (about 2-3mm gap between tower & case). But as you pointed out some mobo's may have a problem
