Tuniq Tower base

Do they still make them like that or have they improved the finish on the base? How much would a poor finish like that affect temps?

I had one in Jan this year and its base looked like that.
a) it was flat
b) it looked worse than it was
c) lapping did nothing to lower my temps.

So it looks rough but its a great cheap cooler.

Mine looks like that but i've got no complaints. An excellent cooler.

The finish on mine is rubbish, but working pretty well anyway

Mine was like that when i bought it too. Ran it for a few months. It was flat, which is the most important thing. I then lapped my CPU and the Tuinq, and it dropped the temps only by 2-3 degrees. And when i say lapped, i mean the best finish you can get. Used a lapping machine at work.

Poor design for shipping - they break far too easily when attached to a PC.
