Tuniq Tower Delivery Confirmed!!!

You all forget insurance and default values. RM only covers upto a max £25 as standard. RM also doesn't guarantee delilvery unless SpecialDelivery is used. The number of folks who'd complain about late parcel arrivals (due to RM's fault) or damaged goods that aren't covered for enough to replace those items (customers fault for choosing a shipping option that isn't insured to appropriate value of the goods) which OcUK will be held accountable for and expected to replace... all adds up to make RM one of the less-recommended methods to use when you're shipping a LOT of stuff out all over the place. The company would soon end up seeing profits reduced... and labour hours going up to cover the phonecalls moaning about RM stuff not arriving on time or in satisfactory condition. You as an end-user shipping stuff about might not be so bothered, but for a company it can add up to a big headache VERY quickly.

RMSD is covered up to £500, but admittedly RM's service is terrible.
Aye thats correct, I have always had excellent service with RM Special Delivery - at least if theirs a failed delivery the item goes to your Royal Mail Depot so you can easily pick it up, every main town & city has one - City Link isnt so good in this area i.e The nearest City Link Depot to me is nearly 27 miles away from Grimsby in ****** Scunthorpe! so it goes back to Scunthorpe.

I've never had problems with RM, I think people tend to dislike organisations just because they're big organisations (I appologise if RM screwed up loads of your deliveries, just making a general comment about the state of the world, not a personal one!!)

Right I ordered 1 last night and have had a confirmed email, but no is awiting packing email. Whats the crack? I know it wont be coming until Monday, but there is nothing saying it has been packed?

I hope its not out of stock, as the site says its in.

Ahem, they consistently fail to deliver recorded items or even knock on my door, preferring to merely pop a card through it. When trying to arrange redelivery or the collect service - their customer service is atrocious with my request somehow magically disappearing on a number of occasions. It's actually less effort for me to walk the 3 miles to the local depot than to bother getting them to redeliver anything.

Ive had a guy from City Link walk right up to my door and pop a note through without so much as ringing the doorbell or anything before, while I stood and watched him through the windw (he couldnt see me of course). I guess it just depends on the driver that day, or if the drivers stick to set delivery areas, as to how your luck pans out.
