Guys i just cannot get this tuniq tower fitted to my antec 900 case. The screw in bottom left u just cant get to when its in the case there is literally no room.

Should i be taking the mobo out and installing this? if i do that there is no way i can screw the mobo down in the corner which wld be a big no no.

Any tricks to gettin this installed?

I have the same, it was a pain in the ass to be honest, I would install the cooler first then put the MB in the case!

In the end I plopped the screw in by using a long screwdriver and put my hand round the top with great difficulty to try and place the screw,

All in all a PAIN!

And even more fun trying to get it out to redo the Artic Silver when your not happy!!

Well the artic silver i ordered wasnt with this so have had to use the stuff that came with it, no idea if i have applied it right or anything, fairly sure have destroyed this chip or will as soon as switch it on :|

Not enjoying the whole building my own rig lol.

Now gotta figure out how to get this corsair psu hooked up.

Do i plug the cable from my tuniq tower into the cpu fan connector on the pk5 mobo or onto the cha fan1?

On the mobo manual in bit explaining putting chip in that if dual core plug chassis lead into cha fan 1, does it mean the one from tuniq?

To be honest, you cant complain when your the one who bougth a small case and is trying to fit the turniq tower in it without taking the mobo out. Not many cases can you install it without taking the mobo out and you need to get the backplate in as well. Its not really difficult if you do things properly without taking short cuts.

There should only be one socket it fits into as its a 3pin instead of a 2pin isn't it?

Also i dont ahve the 900 but if the psu goes in the bottem you may need to put it in before the mobo anyway.

The Tuniq fits in these cases no problem at all, provided you don't have a side fan fitted. You have to take the board out to fit the mounting plate on the back. Fits easy albeit fiddly.

surely you have to take the mobo out, or you'd never get the backplate lined up correctly (or at all in my case(no pun intended) due to my fat fingers)

How did you get the backplate in place then if you installed it inside the case? seems pretty common sense to install any hsf on the board outside the case.

Out of intrest, what are Tunic Towers mounting screws like?

Does the Tunic fit firmly enough to the CPU? I'm very tempted to buy some nuts and bolts to have that firm hold but not totally sure whether its worth it!

The backplate is a shaped steel 'X' with tapped holes through each corner. Its a solid mounting system, and the board would shatter before anything came loose. Its a much better way than those stupid plastic stock intel cooler clips. But does require a bit more work mounting it outside the case.

Id definitely say mount it outside the case. I tried to tighten the screws with the mb inside my cm-101 and it was near enough impossible. (My cm has a mb tray even but the tuniq is so tall it wouldnt slide in due to the side of the case! Needless to say its been put in my p180 now which is much better. Still had to mount outside the case though.)
