Im curious as to what sort of temps I sould be seeing on my e6600 with the Tuniq Tower installed?
Using Asus Probe @ stock speeds I was seeing 34@idle and around 42 under load. Clocked up to 3ghz (333fsb, 1.34vcore) and it went up to 42ish @ idle and 55+ under load. I've tried reseating the Tuniq but now its up to 60-70 under load!

are any of these temps to be expected, or is it a little hot? I'm wondering if I've used enuf Thermal stuff. How much should be used?

I run my e6600 @ 3.2ghz with 1.225vcore in bios and see load temps of around 37-39 dual orthos priority 9 with my TT120, great cooler, and thats on low fan speed so as good as silent, Get yourself TAT i dont trust asus probe at all. 1.34vcore is quite high for those speeds imo, not above the max but still well over what i would expect to reach those speeds. When you reseated the Tt did you clean the TT and reapply compound?

i could probably reduce the vcore, i ramped it up as i wanted to go a lot higher, but stopped due to the heat. Cant get TAT or Core Temp to work, using Vista Ultimate and they say:

Core Temp: The Driver has failed to Load! (CPU temp then shows as 100?)
TAT: Just wont run at all! I assume thats coz im running an nVidia chipset and not Intel.

I'll go and get some more thermal gunk from watford electronics (not far from me) and try reseating again.

ok ive sorted out the heatsink. Now running 3.4Ghz @ 1500fsb. AsusProbe gives 32ish at idle and 41 - 50 at load! Much better and 100% stable! Altho it still states that vcore is 1.34, despite being set to auto in the bios? I thought that puts it back to stock?

Oh well, I'm going to change to Vista x86 rather than x64 to change a few things later tonight and then try clocking the ram and maybe try for 4ghz! :D
