Hello. Been planning for a few weeks now to start my first over clocking soon. Be doing a ton of research past few weeks and fitting my new cooler tonight. Will be ready to do my first over clock at the weekend hopefully once I've properly tested the new cooler at stock. Feel I have a fair grasp of the principles of over clocking now and have watched/read many guides before going near it. But I do have one question.

I've seen conflicting Information about this though and not sure what to do. Should I turn off turbo boost or just leave it on? I will be going over 4ghz anyway with my overclocke so will it just be ignored anyway? Just not sure because some people say turn it off and some say just leave it as it's redundant after 4ghz.

Thanks guys. Excited to do my first OC.

EDIT: Just did some very basic testing of my new cooler. 4mins basic stress testing (CPU-Z) on stock was 72 degrees. Same test with new cooler is 50 degrees. So that should give me some room to play with with overclocking.

Depends on the motherboard I think. On mine you edit the boost clock to overclock, if you disable boost, it sits at stock speeds.

It makes no difference as long as you see the clocks you expect.
