Hey, i have a i5-750 that was overclocked on purchase to 3.6ghz. There was a power cut and when i rebooted it had reset to 2.6ghz. But even though it was running slower my games were much smoother.
I recently went into the bios and activated the overclock to 3.6 again. but it was performing worse than it did when it was at 2.4 so i looked at the bios setting again and turbo boost was set to "auto" so i changed it to "off" and everything is so much faster now.
I just wanted to know if i was right to turn off turbo boost or if its going to damage my pc (i dont know that much about overclocking yet)
Hope i can get some help thanks!
