Been listening to a french band called Carpenter Brut for a few years now and I wanted to share their latest video for a track called turbo killer. Synthwave type stuff inspired by 80's movie scores for example escape from new york. An unreal band who some of you might not have heard of. This is worth a look/listen.

Im liking this one a lot! Thanks for the heads up :D

Infact this could easily be a movie, did they make this or pinch bits?

You are welcome :) The video is all original, there has been an outcry from fans to make the video a series, would be fantastic if they did as it is a masterpiece. The concept came from the director as far as I know, but clearly a match made in heaven.

Other tracks I recommend are Roller Mobster

And sexkiller on the loose

Enjoy!

Been checking out this Seth Ickerman. I am blown away that it appears they have used practical miniature models and then combined that with cgi and live action! They should take that video and turn it into something. I want to know the back story of what is happening, why the girl was kidnapped etc I have never done that before with a music video lol.

I would be well into a series or just a movie! Amazing stuff.

Totally agree with you, captivating video from start to finish. Even though I was familiar with the song before the video was released, it still knocked me sideways. Would love them to develop the video further. Carpenter Brut have been gathering momentum over last 6 months and what seemed like a very small market seems to be exploding for them and it is great to see. Their gigs are stunning and I am hoping to catch them this summer.

Footage from a recent Paris show with full band

Been into Synthwave / new retro wave for years now, I have been keeping it secret as I worry it will be destroyed when it hits the mainstream.

Seeing the name Carpenter Brut on the forums was like a death toll lol

The video for Turbo killer is absolutely amazing.

HaHa I know exactly what you mean, I actually hesitated before posting it but after I saw the video has nearly hit 1 million views, our worst fears are slowly being confirmed..the mainstream are catching on!

Anyway, it is too good not to share!

'Brut is great!

Dance with the Dead and Perturbator get a lot of play from me too. Bit let down with Perturbator's latest release - might be a grower though.

Could be interesting.

Inspired by the spirit of the 80's films and music, BLOOD MACHINES is a 30-minutes science-fiction short film written and directed by Seth Ickerman, scored by the synthwave artist Carpenter Brut. BLOOD MACHINES is the sequel of the music video TURBO KILLER, their first collaboration.

Kickstarter here.

I can't stop watching/listening to Turbo Killer. It sounds amazing on a decent pair of headphones.
