Just after a quick response as a turbo kit for a Golf VR6 is going through on eBay at 9.30 tonight.

This is it here: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Golf-mk3-VR6-...oryZ9889QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

Someone has asked a question and he states that there is no pipework, would that be a problem or do I just need to find some generic pipework?
Also it doesn't have an intercooler, would I need one?

I have a mechanic friend who could fit it for me.

Yes you will need an intercooler, as well as an uprated ECU etc etc...

IMHO I would buy a faster car and be done with it (if the VR6 isnt quick enough for you anymore), It'll cause you nothing but hassle and expense.

DO IT!!!!!!

Fit a Frontera TDi intercooler (cheap and all-alloy so it'll take m4d b00st y0), get the pipework made up and rock it.

It's only done 85k and has been really well looked after, the engine still feels tight.

Looking like I'm going to give it a miss though, just spoke to my mechanic and he said I might need stuff like an uprated oil pump and the new ecu won't be cheap either.

It's just starting to look a bit more complicated then I first thought.

I would give it a miss if I were you......low(ish) mileage good condition Corrado VR6's are getting rarer to find, and will hold their value.

add another head gasket and the bottom end is good for something daft like 400bhp

toyotec on the golf board will proabbly megasquirt and map it for about £1500
