I have an overclocking utility called Turbo V that lets me tweak my oc. I had it set up so that my core speed was 3.5999GHz but when I went into bios and actually set those as the parameters for my overclock, it blue screened and all that junk. Wasn't stable. Why is that? Can I actually set it on those settings just by moving it up in small increments over and over or do I need to find a different way to hit that number.

Perhaps Turbo V has some basic form of control over cpu voltage.

Was it stable when set through software? As in did you test it?

Put fsb up until it isn't stable, then put vcore up a notch and repeat. Dont take vcore over whatever the limit for your processor is, and stop if temps go over 80.
