Hi, just got a new turion x2 laptop setup and was wondering if I should fold on it or would it burn out? According to coretemp cpu 0 is at 43 and cpu 1 is at 44c, thats idle at 800mhz so im thinking it will get toasty with folding running.

thanks

Hmmm does anyone else have any opinion on this? what is the max temp i should be seeing ? 60+ ok for a laptop turion?

I will run it on one core to start with and see how much difference there is in temperatures between the cores I think.

The old 754 130nm CPUs top safe temp was set at 80c if l remember correctly.

I used to assist my old P4 Prescott laptop by proping it up and placing a 80mm fan under it connected to an old PSU, it kept the temps at around 50c

I used to run my p4 laptop 24/7 (for a while at least) and it was fine. Just make sure there isnt any dust blocking the fan gaurds and there shouldnt be any problem to be honest.
